Production Equipment Specialist with Electrical and Mechanical Expertise

">The estimated annual salary for this role is around $65,000 - $90,000 depending on qualifications and location.
Job Description
">As a Factory Specialist at Johnson Controls, you will play a vital role in supporting the production line and equipment through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
You will work collaboratively with team members and engineers to resolve equipment issues and perform tasks such as:
- Troubleshooting and repairing production machinery, testers, and facility systems and equipment
- Utilizing hand tools, testers, and shop power tools to accomplish tasks
- Working with engineers, technicians, production, and maintenance associates to resolve equipment issues and repairs
- Providing written documentation and reports as requested
- Facilitating, coordinating, and communicating with other supervisors to coordinate repair activities in individual departments
- Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Training or instructing others on technical issues and operation of equipment as needed
Overtime may be required to meet production demands and can include Saturdays and Sundays when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A comprehensive understanding of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- The ability to read and comprehend prints and schematics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 2-year industrial electronic course from a reputable school, or at least 2 years of related experience and/or training
