Electronics Technician Job Description

At ENERCON INDUSTRIES CORP, we're seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing our industry-leading induction cap sealers and surface treating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming inspection on products to ensure safe operation and avoid equipment damage.
  • Set up machines for testing, making mechanical adjustments and calibration for proper operation.
  • Record data in the ERP and other computer systems for accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot problems discovered during testing and take corrective action.
  • Perform inspection on finished products and special tests as required.
  • Evaluate and repair equipment returned by customers, bringing it back to full and safe function.
  • Perform in-house training for customers and other employees.
  • Identify and isolate all defective parts, reporting reason for failure if known.
  • Keep all test equipment in good working order, reporting any malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Comply with all company policies and instructions.
  • Recommend modifications of existing procedures and standards to achieve optimum quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in the assembly department as time allows.

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree in an Electronics-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical engineering practices and principles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity and ability to use multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic measuring devices.
  • Skill in soldering board-level components.
  • General computer experience in Microsoft Windows environment.
