About the Role:
The University of Oklahoma is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Manager of Faculty Relations and Operational Excellence in the Office of Research Services. This key position will play a critical role in supporting the university's mission to advance research and creative activity, while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
- Provide expert guidance and support to faculty, staff, and sponsors on research administration, compliance, and policy updates.
- Act as a liaison between faculty, primary investigators, ORS staff, sponsors, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and communication.
- Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the research experience.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate conflict resolution to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and implement communication plans to promote the department's mission and goals, and represent the department in community outreach efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field.
- At least 72 months of project management experience, including 36 months of management or leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 72 months of research administration background in a university, non-profit, or funding agency setting.
- 36 months of proposal and budget development with various funding agencies.
- 24 months of experience in the development and design of training materials, training facilitation, instructional/curriculum design, and/or related field.
- Experience in proposal writing or other professional/technical writing/editing/proofreading.
- Training and experience in strategic planning.
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA).
