Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Unity Health Care. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide culturally competent care to patients, working closely with primary care providers to deliver high-quality, integrated services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Culturally Competent Care: Deliver brief, consultation-based services to patients and primary care providers, using an integrated care model and providing skill training through psychoeducation and patient education strategies.
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Providers: Work closely with primary care providers to deliver high-quality, integrated services, and provide timely and succinct feedback regarding consultations, findings, and recommendations.
  • Support Quality Improvement Initiatives: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives at the Center, seeking to continuously improve the quality of care for patients.
  • Document Patient Care: Document patient care and recommendations in a timely and concise manner, ensuring accurate and complete records.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: Possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, professional counseling, or psychology.
  • Current DC Professional License: Hold a current DC professional license in a relevant field, such as social work, professional counseling, or psychology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competent in Basic Psychotherapy Skills: Possess competent basic psychotherapy skills, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and active listening.
  • Able to Utilize Evidence-Based Interventions: Be able to utilize evidence-based interventions to improve mental health outcomes for clients.
