Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement carrier coverage strategies to maximize customer freight portfolio penetration.
- Lead a small team of SMA's as a mentor, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Tender, accept, and reject loads, create loads, set appointments, dispatch, track, and trace loads, and resolve issues with carriers and customers.
- Negotiate rates with transportation providers to ensure margins are achieved for commission targets and account goals.
- Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in business-related roles, with a focus on logistics or transportation.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment and ability to lead/manage others.
