About the Role

Beehive Industries is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer, Mechanical Analysis to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for executing the design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components and assemblies using sound engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze turbomachinery components and assemblies to meet industry standards and program requirements.
  • Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design perspective, setting test objectives and limits, instrumentation and test data requirements, and test planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products and sub-systems meet overall requirements from a design perspective.
  • Conduct stress and life analyses and design optimization to meet product requirements.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
  • Participate in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated consistent with engineering best practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 15 years of experience in gas turbine component design.
  • Strong understanding of design software tools (CAD, ANSYS, etc).
  • Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations to further exploit the benefits of additive capability.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills.
