Senior Mechanical Engineer

At DEKA Research & Development, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team of innovators and makers. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative medical devices using 3D CAD Solid Modeling and other design tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition concepts into products, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot design failure modes and develop effective solutions to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Evaluate designs through prototype testing and requirement verification.
- Review and approve mechanical component and assembly designs, analysis, and testing.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 10+ years' experience designing electromechanical products.
- Demonstrated experience designing parts using various manufacturing methods, including machining, welding, injection molding, forming, forging, and casting.
- Proficient user of SolidWorks or other comparable CAD software.
- Experience with finite element analysis and tolerance analysis.
- Ability to work in an open group environment.
