About the Role

The Mosaic Company is seeking a highly motivated leader to join as the Director, International Business Development. This role is responsible for the overall business strategy and financials for LATAM (Mexico, Central America, Argentina, and Chile) and Europe, aligning with the company's business plan, strategies, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships for Mosaic Biosciences product platforms.
  • Develop and present compelling business propositions to customers.
  • Plan and execute multi-million dollar and multi-year commercial agreements with new and existing partners.
  • Implement new collaboration models with key customers.
  • Provide financial and business analysis associated with deal flow.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap and comprehensive business plan for LATAM and Europe.
  • Analyze commercial opportunities for Mosaic Biosciences current and pipeline products across the agriculture value chain.
  • Define framework and value capture for current and future commercial collaborations and partnership models.
  • Plan and execute a stage-gate approach to commercial activities, including KPIs.
  • Develop and leverage a broad industry network to access new opportunities, collaborators, and potential key customers.
  • Gain deep understanding of customers' needs and provide proactive solutions.
  • Provide leadership and credibility to existing partnerships and represent Mosaic Biosciences effectively to the industry.
  • Attend industry associations, conferences, and customer events to develop new relationships.
  • Work cross-functionally and build strong internal collaborations to enable success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
  • 10 years of experience in ag business, including business-to-business, 3rd party licensing, and business planning
  • Strong business acumen and business development experience
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple diverse tasks and deliverables within one or more projects
  • Strong sense of urgency to move key initiatives along while paying attention to details in execution
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with middle to senior/executive management
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written; thinks and openly communicates with all levels of the organization
  • High degree of personal and professional integrity, including being a self-starter, the ability to acknowledge mistakes and take ownership of results
  • Experience with value-added products and proven sales leadership skills preferred
  • Travel: 40% - 50%
