Epitaxial and Implant Engineering Specialist

Job Description:

The Epitaxial and Implant Engineering Specialist is tasked with maintaining existing GaAs, GaN, and Si processes while innovating new methodologies in the Metals area within the wafer fabrication facility. Responsibilities encompass the growth and analysis of epitaxial crystal films, as well as ion implantation and annealing processes. The product lines include GaAs integrated circuits, silicon transistors, among others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily management of the EPI/Implant sector to ensure optimal factory performance indicators are achieved.
  • Continuous enhancement of processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Development of new processes for emerging products, product transitions, and new capabilities for foundry operations.
  • Focus on sustaining and improving quality, reliability, cost efficiency, yield, process stability, productivity, and safety.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in EPI and Implant processing.
  • Proven expertise in compound semiconductor processes for high-frequency applications.
  • Familiarity with materials systems used in epitaxial growth, ion implantation, and annealing processes.
  • Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics, integrated circuit processing, data analysis, statistical process control, design of experiments, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle technical challenges, take ownership of projects, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to achieving ambitious goals.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation for summarizing data and drafting process specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
