Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing evaluation of programs and activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of our members.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to members participating in program sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist in the management of our teen programming and extended hours, including planning and executing events and activities.
  • Collaborate with program partners to develop and implement additional programming opportunities that meet the needs of our members.
  • Assist in managing membership information, camp registration, and other individual paperwork required by the club.
  • Work with the Director to develop family engagement opportunities throughout the school year, including events and parent council meetings.
  • Lead and/or participate in collaborative programs and events that promote the mission and goals of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.
  • Assess the impact of our programs and activities, participating in evaluation efforts and providing feedback to improve our services.
  • Secure and maintain materials, equipment, and other resources belonging to the program area(s), ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist in the orientation, training, and supervision of staff, junior staff, and volunteers, ensuring a smooth and effective onboarding process.
  • Participate in individual and group supervision sessions to ensure ongoing professional development and growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in youth development, program coordination, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to the mission and goals of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.
