Job Summary

The Patient Financial Representative plays a critical role in maximizing reimbursement for services provided and ensuring timely cash flow. This position requires strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely billing and collection of patient accounts.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to patients and families, addressing their financial concerns and needs in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Utilizes computer systems and software to manage patient accounts, track payments, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience and/or medical billing/coding training preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions:
  • Works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines.
  • May be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
  • May be exposed to confidential and sensitive information, requiring discretion and professionalism.
