Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Representative to join our team at SNCH. As a key member of our Patient Financial Service department, you will play a critical role in maximizing reimbursement for services provided and ensuring timely cash flow.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patients and/or their families with payments and assist those with financial hardship in the most cost-effective means possible.
  • Work closely with the hospital and department to meet objectives in maximizing reimbursement for services provided.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and resolution of financial matters.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing regulations and laws related to patient financial services and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • Must complete in-house orientation program.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Previous customer service experience and prior office or clerical experience or completion of medical billing/coding courses.
  • Knowledge and experience with managed care and third-party insurance coverage.
  • Typing, filing, and accurate data entry skills.
Working Conditions

This role requires extensive periods of time sitting and using a computer. You will also be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lift, bend, and carry heavy objects. Ability to bend, reach, and retrieve files is also necessary.
