Public School Speech-Language Therapists play a vital role in helping students overcome language barriers and communicate effectively. As a Communication Specialist at Lewiston Public Schools, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized therapy programs to address a range of communication disorders.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech-language pathology, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders. Experience working with children and adults with communication disorders is essential. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is preferred. Certification as a Speech Therapist is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to address specific communication needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to integrate therapy into daily activities
  • Provide counseling and support to parents and families as needed
  • Supervise students and maintain accurate records

Salary Range: $41,286.41 - $77,875.35 per year
