Position Overview

The Goddard Riverside Community Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Social Worker to join our dynamic Education and Workforce Program. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive support to young adults aged 17 and above, guiding them towards self-sufficiency and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments for all assigned clients and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
  • Facilitate regular counseling sessions for eligible clients, ensuring ongoing support and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans and client interactions in compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements.
  • Identify and address barriers to self-sufficiency, including economic, educational, and employment challenges.
  • Assist clients in achieving their educational and career objectives by connecting them with relevant resources and services.
  • Evaluate social service needs, assist with benefit applications, and provide referrals as necessary.
  • Deliver personalized case management services tailored to the unique needs of each participant.
  • Support clients in navigating complex systems such as healthcare, education, and financial services.
  • Conduct workshops to provide essential information and skills to participants.
  • Track and report on program outcomes and client progress, ensuring adherence to program standards.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations to enhance service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support program objectives.

Qualifications:
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work with a current LMSW license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in case management or workforce development.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in facilitating group work and managing client data effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to engage with a diverse population.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with databases such as Salesforce.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and a willingness to learn about additional therapeutic approaches.
