Key Responsibilities- Risk Assessment: Review submissions, determine risk appetite, and make informed decisions to ensure alignment with our company's risk management strategy.
- Underwriting Discipline: Maintain a high level of underwriting discipline, adhering to our company's underwriting philosophy and guidelines.
- Client Management: Manage assigned clients efficiently, including regular production visits, quarterly review of assigned brokers' profitability, and identification of potential broker conflicts and successes.
- Renewal Management: Review renewals, determine the type of notice to be sent, and identify if the risk requires referral to a Profit Center Manager, SVP, or CUO.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and initiatives to develop underwriter trainees and stay up-to-date with market trends, competition philosophy, products, and distribution systems.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of Property Underwriting experience, with a strong background in risk assessment and underwriting discipline.
- Skills: Excellent technical and marketing skills, knowledge of market and regulatory environment, strong communication, negotiation, customer service, relationship, and organizational skills.
- Education: College degree or equivalent, with ARM, CPCU, and MBA designations a plus.
- Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary range of $82,900 to $121,600, with opportunities for discretionary equity and performance-based variable pay.
