Position Overview

This role involves key responsibilities that are essential for the development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert intricate requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Design, develop, and sustain software applications that provide significant value to users.
  • Enhance algorithms and data management for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve software issues to ensure seamless operations and superior user experiences.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold quality, maintainability, security, and scalability.
  • Create unit and integration tests, implement monitoring, and adhere to best practices for deployment.
  • Participate in on-call support and address production issues from identification to resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, design, security, and compliance.
  • Maintain high technical standards within the team.
  • Guide junior engineers and contribute to the recruitment of new talent.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language or framework (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in leading projects from design to deployment while maintaining high technical standards.
  • Expertise in areas pertinent to our cloud-based financial platform (e.g., fintech, distributed systems, databases, security, or front-end development).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and advanced education.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers, fostering a collaborative culture.
  • A history of spearheading significant technical projects and achieving impactful outcomes.
  • Experience in building and scaling high-performance engineering teams.
  • Experience with live on-call support and managing production services.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and DevOps practices like CI/CD.
  • A solid grasp of security best practices for enterprise applications.
