Position Overview
The Senior Python Engineer will play a crucial role in developing high-quality software solutions that meet complex business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert intricate requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Design, develop, and support software applications that provide value to users.
- Enhance algorithms, data management, and cloud services for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Identify and resolve software issues to maintain seamless business operations and user satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold quality, maintainability, security, and compliance with standards.
- Create unit and integration tests, implement monitoring solutions, and adhere to best practices for deployment.
- Provide on-call support, participating in team rotations to address production issues effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, security, compliance) to realize innovative ideas.
- Maintain high technical standards across the team.
- Guide junior engineers and contribute to the recruitment of new talent.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree (Master's or PhD).
- Expertise in at least one modern programming language/framework (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to excel in a dynamic environment.
- Experience leading projects from design to production while maintaining high technical standards.
- Specialization in at least one area pertinent to our cloud-based financial platform (e.g., fintech, distributed systems, databases, security, or front-end development).
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and advanced education.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- A history of leading significant technical projects and achieving impactful results.
- Experience in building and scaling high-performance engineering teams.
- Experience with live on-call and 24/7 operation of production services.
- Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and DevOps practices such as CI/CD.
- A solid understanding of security best practices for enterprise applications.

Compensation
