We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI Engineer to join our team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Key Responsibilities- Design and develop AI software in Java, Python, and other languages, leveraging your expertise in machine learning and software engineering.
- Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from development and testing to CI/CD and production operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI models, including training, fine-tuning, and model serving.
- Apply engineering principles to define robust and maintainable architectures and designs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build cloud services on top of modern Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) building blocks at OCI, driving innovation and excellence in the cloud.
- Design and build distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant software systems to facilitate the development of Generative AI models.
- Identify requirements, scope solutions, estimate work, and schedule deliverables, ensuring timely and effective project delivery.
- Contribute to publications, blogs, and open-source ML performance submissions, partnering with product managers to drive innovation and excellence.
- Balance product feature development with production operational concerns, such as ops automation, structured logging, and instrumentation for metrics.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3-5+ years of experience developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud-native systems.
- Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects.
- Data science and machine learning knowledge would be helpful but not required.
- Production experience with Cloud and ML technologies.
- Experience working in Generative AI Modeling, Customizing LLM's, build and deploy LLM's at scale for large-scale data generation, and algorithms such as Transformer models, Attention mechanism, and Prompt tooling.
