As a key member of the Rutland Regional Medical Center team, the Patient Accounts Representative II plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, submission, and follow-up of claims to third-party carriers, intermediaries, and patients. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit claims to third-party carriers and intermediaries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely billing and reimbursement.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of patient accounting experience, including 1 year of electronic billing systems experience.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital billing practices, healthcare payors, and electronic remittance processing.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range: $17.46 - $25.91
