Job Overview

Hobart Service, a leading provider of commercial food equipment service solutions, is seeking a skilled Service Technician II to join our team. As a Service Technician II, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their commercial food equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial food equipment, including cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking, and refrigeration.
  • Working with customers to identify and resolve equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Meeting or surpassing weekly productivity and customer-oriented goals, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Requirements
  • An accredited High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience.
  • A valid Driver's License and ability to drive multiple hours daily.
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call as required.
  • Ability to attend industry-leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH.

  • Lifting up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Climbing up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder.
  • Occasional roof access may be necessary through extension ladders or fixed ladders greater than 20 feet.
  • Extensive walking 3-5 miles / day.
  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day.
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling.
  • Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools.
Working Conditions
  • Office facility and customer facilities, including commercial kitchens of various types of businesses.
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, dirty conditions may occur.
  • Travel requirement up to 50% of time.
