Job Summary:

General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems is seeking a Production Assembler I to perform project tasks and assignments of a basic nature ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform single tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Work with basic hand tools.
  • Accurately complete process paperwork and entering data into the applicable work order management system.
  • May perform mixing of epoxies per specification.
  • Able to work with chemicals without limitations, while adhering to the prescribed PPE.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements such as but limited to PPE, chemical handling and safety related trainings.
  • Read and interpreting basic schematics and drawings.

Requirements:

  • Able to focus on single tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Basic English
  • Strong hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Comfortable working with small/delicate components.
  • General communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk reach within hands and arms length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Basic math knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret basic documents and work instructions

Physical Demands:

  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay Range: Min $30,450.00/Annu. Mid USD $43,500.00/Annu. Max USD $56,550.00/Annu.
  • Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
  • Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts.
  • Employees are also able to enroll in the company's 401k plan and are eligible for the Non-Contributory Retirement Contribution.
