APN Radiation Oncology Specialist

The OSF HealthCare team is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse - Medical Oncology to join our team at the Patricia D. Pepe Center for Cancer Care. As an integral member of our oncology team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support services in a state-of-the-art cancer center.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose oncology patients, utilizing advanced assessment skills and knowledge of clinical therapeutics.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy adherence programs, clinical trials, and radiation therapy.
- Collaborate with hematologists/oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and survivorship.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Board certification in Medical Oncology or a related field.
- Experience in oncology nursing, with a focus on medical oncology and radiation therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
