American Crystal is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Equity Relations Coordinator at our corporate office. This role will meticulously manage the stock transfer process and uphold precise shareholder records, including stock and equity for American Crystal stakeholders. Responsibilities include maintaining accounts receivables and beet procurement systems, as well as providing assistance and serving as a backup for issuing beet and equity revolvement payments to approximately 2,600 shareholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and advocate for a positive workplace culture through the Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and accounting of beet payments, grower reports, stock transfers, and equity accounting for all American Crystal shareholders.
  • Support and act as a backup to the Shareholder Compliance Analyst.
  • Prepare journal entries for beet payments issued and manage the collection of various shareholder accounts receivables.
  • Accurately apply shareholder payments received, reconcile balances, and maintain shareholder accounts receivables accordingly.
  • Initiate, review, prepare, and record various Shareholder payments.
  • Reissue all lost beet payment and unit retain checks for shareholders.
  • Collect, generate, and maintain confidential information from multiple sources, organizing and consolidating for transactions of a sensitive nature.
  • Create, maintain, and assist with equity transfer application forms and equity reports for Board of Director consideration.
  • Initiate stock transfer applications, scrutinize transferees for ownership, Active Farmer compliance, and determine when additional requirements/forms are necessary. Engage in meetings with growers and/or brokers through various communication methods.
  • Review and update shareholder information and voter registration, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all applicable requirements.
  • Oversee Political Action Committee deductions and contributions from shareholders, ensuring adherence to SEC regulations.
  • Manage deferred payment contracts.
  • Execute UCC Agreements to maintain an accurate and current file on shares pledged to secured parties by American Crystal shareholders.
  • Distribute annual "Report of Uncertificated Shares and Equity" for current and former American Crystal shareholders, detailing share ownership, equity balances, pledge summary, and calendar year transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of 1099-PATR's and Written Notice of Allocation for DPAD/Section 199A deductions to shareholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
This position will interact with all shareholders, providing exceptional customer service by respectfully addressing their inquiries, delivering accurate and timely responses, and meeting with them in a professional manner. Responsible for coordinating information from various sources in preparation of stock transfer applications and ensuring the accuracy of beet payments. Effectively manage workload to meet deadlines and perform daily activities with minimal supervision and consultation with a supervisor.
