Position Summary:

The HVAC Industrial Sales Manager is responsible for strategizing, directing, and coordinating the sales of Private Label mastic, adhesives, coatings, hardware, and Rolled Sealant products. This role involves managing accounts, setting and meeting sales targets, exploring new market segments, and achieving product-specific growth and margin objectives with both existing and prospective clients. The manager will continuously assess data from external market segments, competitive materials, and internal reports to refine the sales strategy and develop countermeasures to sustain existing accounts and drive new market expansion. Additionally, the position will focus on enhancing industrial sales in adjacent markets utilizing our current technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Private Label Accounts with annual sales responsibilities of up to $7 million.
  • Train and develop both new and existing accounts to ensure ongoing sales growth for mastic, adhesives, rolled sealants, coatings, and hardware.
  • Identify and cultivate business opportunities in emerging markets in collaboration with commercial and R&D teams, as well as New Product Development.
  • Participate in trade shows to explore new products for other markets or new applications for existing products.
  • Design and implement effective sales strategies for both new and existing markets nationwide to achieve sales objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver technical information, presentations, value proposals, and process reviews as part of the strategic development for short and long-term business growth.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships and collaborations with internal teams and external partners/customers.
  • Review sales and P&L results monthly, applying countermeasures and providing insights and forecasts to management.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.
  • Encourage organic growth within the existing customer base to meet sales forecasts for the business year.
  • Maintain timely documentation for all project-related activities using designated databases and manual processes.
  • Act as a resource to provide information and optimally address customer needs in collaboration with the commercial and technical teams.
  • Coordinate activities involving product sales and meet with department heads to align marketing services with sales objectives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and determine competitive and profitable pricing across all product lines.
  • Engage regularly with product management, customer service, R&D, pricing, and operations teams, working within the New Product Development process to introduce new products.
  • Drive project-related activities to achieve strategic business goals, collaborating cross-functionally as needed.
  • Manage key accounts and relationships with higher-profile customers.
Working Conditions:
  • Standard working hours are Monday - Friday; 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
  • Weekend or overtime work may be necessary.
  • Demonstrate a passion for work and the ability to work overtime to meet demanding timelines.
  • Represent the company in all external relationships.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is a requirement for this position, utilizing airplane or car. Travel is expected to be approximately 35-45% of the time.

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in chemistry, engineering, or a business-related field.
  • 8-10 years of sales experience, ideally in similar businesses/products.
  • 8+ years of experience managing a sales team.
