Operations Lead

ODW Logistics is a people-focused and customer-driven third-party logistics (3PL) provider committed to delivering seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. Our extensive range of services include supply chain design and innovation, warehousing, efficient distribution and fulfillment, freight brokerage, transportation management, and specialized e-commerce fulfillment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Protect the accuracy, integrity, and salability of our client's inventory through adherence to standard operating procedures and meeting physical inventory and/or cycle count accuracy expectations.
- Direct the warehousing team and work with team members to meet customer demands and performance metrics.
- Run reports to determine effective action to maximize building capacity.
- Complete all required documentation on inbound and outbound documents.
- Read and understand general instructions and prepare written reports.
- Understand and use the company's warehouse management system and time-keeping system.
- Handle all products according to customer and employer procedures.
- Communicate changes in extraordinary handling procedures to office personnel and complete the warehouse worksheet.
- Provide peer mediation and informal coaching to associates and communicate operational issues to the Supervisor.
- Understand company goals and work to create an environment for success.
- Model safety protocols and monitor to improve company safety, quality, and productivity procedures.
- Interact with various levels of local management concerning daily activities.
- Comply with all other procedures outlined in the Operations & Procedure Manual.
- Communicate effectively with Transportation, Warehouse, Management, Co-workers, and Customers.
- Excel in a team-oriented environment and be comfortable leading teams and monitoring performance to achieve safety, productivity, and quality goals.
- Be hands-on, able to handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

- Associate degree or equivalent education/work experience preferred.
- 3 – 5+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, AS400, data entry, and previous experience with web-based applications preferred.
- Excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team-building skills and ability to lead others.
- Organization and prioritization skills.
- Must have a hands-on approach.
- Problem-solving and time management skills.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires the ability to:
- Hear, read, and comprehend, write, and communicate.
- Continuously sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion.
- Occasionally stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, or reach.
- Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities.
- Work with material handling equipment that must be operated according to specific operating procedures.
- Spend 70 – 80% of time on the warehouse floor in a fast-paced environment.
