Job Title: Lead Custodian

Job Summary:

The Lead Custodian is a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to direct the work of custodial staff and ensure the highest level of service is provided to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the work of custodial staff and monitor their performance to ensure high-quality results.
  • Perform custodial duties such as emptying trash, dusting, and cleaning surfaces, as well as operating floor care equipment.
  • Aid in the assignment of daily work and equipment setup, inventory, and ordering supplies.
  • Maintain work schedules and ensure completion of department workload.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning methods and procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Train custodial staff on best practices and new equipment.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of commercial cleaning experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and remain flexible.
  • Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires occasional evening and/or weekend work during periods of high volume. The role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
