Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reimbursement Analyst to join our team at UHS. As a Reimbursement Analyst, you will play a critical role in the preparation of regulatory and reimbursement related materials for our Acute Care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Medicare Disproportionate Share (DSH) Packages and analysis to support Acute Care Division annual cost report submissions and related audit activity.
  • Work with outside consulting firm to coordinate the preparation of the Medicare S-10 Uncompensated Care worksheets and assists with related audit activity.
  • Assemble information from sources within UHS's Corporate office and the Acute Care facilities to produce the department's Medicare and Medicaid regulatory and reimbursement related projects.
  • Work with a designated group of acute care hospitals and participates in performing hospital related reimbursement activities.
  • Participate in the preparation and filing of Medicare, Medicaid, and other governmental regulatory cost reports in a timely manner.
  • Interface with hospital accounting personnel to ensure timely and accurate financial accounting of reimbursement activities.
  • Complete special projects to support the overall administration of the Acute Care division Reimbursement function.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-3 years' experience.
  • Basic understanding of hospital accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically, Word and Powerpoint. Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access.
  • Ability to learn new computer accounting and revenue cycle applications/software.
  • Proficiency in simultaneously managing multiple projects.
  • Efficient and effective administrative and organizational skills for work flow.
  • Can work effectively in a highly collaborative and open team environment, with willingness to participate in various activities to further goals of the Reimbursement Team.
