Medical Records Clerk Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Wexford Health Sources. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a system of health files and logs concerning patient diagnosis, treatment, admissions, discharges, and daily patient census changes.
  • File loose documentation generated from inside and outside institutions, such as laboratory reports, radiology results, and consultation reports.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all medical records information.
  • Retrieve medical charts for healthcare staff or clinics as requested.
  • Release information at the direction of the Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.
  • Assist in preparing periodic statistical reports and other management information system requirements.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year medical records experience.
