Position Title: Service Specialist

Department: Housekeeping/Lodge

Reports to: Shift Lead/ Lead Supervisor

Pay Grade: NE3

Position Type: Non-key

Core Responsibilities: The Service Specialist Team Member at Sevenwinds Casino, Lodge & Conference Center is tasked with upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety as mandated by our establishment. This role requires adherence to the designated timelines during shifts in assigned areas. The Service Specialist will also provide assistance on the Gaming floor and within the Lodge as directed.

Key Duties on the Gaming Floor:
  • Ensure all designated areas are meticulously maintained.
  • Maintain effective communication with shift leads.
  • Adhere to security and safety protocols regarding equipment and chemical usage, promptly reporting any incidents or hazards to the shift lead or management on duty.
  • Acquire knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and utilize chemicals in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy towards team members, guests, and vendors at all times.
  • Uphold appearance standards, ensuring proper uniform and personal hygiene are in line with the establishment's expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Key Duties in the Lodge:
  • Prepare and stock cleaning supplies before and after assignments, maintaining organization throughout the shift.
  • Efficiently clean a minimum of twelve (12) to eighteen (18) rooms per shift within the allocated timeframe.
  • Change bedding daily in both stay-over and check-out rooms, unless explicitly requested otherwise by the guest, in which case verification from the Shift Lead is required.
  • Replace any soiled bedding items, including blankets and pillows.
  • Thoroughly sanitize all bathroom surfaces, ensuring no hair or dust particles remain, while avoiding cross-contamination through the use of approved cleaning methods.
  • Clean all room surfaces, including desks, tables, mirrors, and windows, using appropriate cleaning supplies.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas thoroughly.
  • Restock missing or used items in rooms, ensuring all amenities are in place and functional.
  • Report any damaged items to the shift lead, including electrical cords, furniture, and plumbing issues.
  • Dispose of trash and deliver used linens to the laundry room when necessary.
  • Maintain cleaning carts and supplies in an orderly fashion.
  • Return to rooms to address any oversights identified by the shift lead.
  • Exercise confidentiality when cleaning stay-over rooms.
  • Report any suspicious or illegal activities to management immediately.
  • Ensure cleaning carts are positioned appropriately outside lodge rooms during cleaning and secured when not in use.
  • Lock windows and secure passkeys upon completing room cleaning.
  • Assist fellow service specialist team members as needed.
  • May be required to support laundry, public areas, and gaming floor operations.
  • Communicate cleaning progress with the shift lead and front desk via two-way radio.
  • Notify the shift lead prior to leaving the shift.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, HSED, GED, or equivalent required; or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules.
  • Strong ability to follow directions.
  • Possess a friendly and helpful demeanor towards guests, team members, vendors, and management.
  • Stamina to perform repetitive tasks effectively.
