At Sevenwinds Casino Lodge and Conference Center, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work. You will also be responsible for inspecting buildings and structures to detect malfunctions and needed repairs, and making notes and reports to the Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect buildings and structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs
- Perform routine building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work
- Assist with the installation of structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
- Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials
- Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures, switches, receptacles, and lamps
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including replacement and/or repair of leaks, drains, and plumbing fixtures
- Perform minor HVAC maintenance and repairs, including repair and replacement of belts, bearings, pulleys, and filters
- Perform minor painting and masonry repairs, including preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains, and finishes
- Reconfigure and assemble office furniture, equipment, and modular office systems
- Assist with the installation and leveling of building framework
- Inspect and assist with the replacement of damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- Relay instructions and messages to construction trade helpers
- Maintain all mechanical and cosmetic items in the casino complex
- Assist outside contractors with repairs, if needed
- Operate casino equipment, including trucks, plows, lawn equipment, skid steers, and forklifts
- Assist with the listing of repair and parts requisitions for the supervisor or Manager
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Maintenance Shop
- Review daily work orders and perform work to maintain a consistent flow of completion
- Ensure an optimum level of MOD and management service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational, apprenticeship, certification, or work-related training and experience is desirable
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Strong customer service experience with direct guest interface
- Knowledgeable in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to stand long periods of time and regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
- Present a clean, neat, and professional image
- Excellent oral communication and written communication skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Advance level of competency with power tools of all types
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations
- Mechanical adeptness is required
- Valid driver's license
- Must complete Title 31 training
- Must obtain a non-key gaming license
