Patient Services Representative

About the Role:
At Optum, we strive to deliver exceptional care and service to our patients. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care and support.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, handling payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- You will work closely with the care team to provide excellent customer service and ensure seamless communication.
- You will verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and patient demographic information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- You will also provide explanations and reviews of registration forms, obtain signatures as required, and prepare batch reports daily.
- In addition, you will schedule and cancel appointments, handle referrals, and maintain supply inventories and equipment.
- You will also maintain a neat and organized environment in the reception and waiting room areas.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $16.00 to $28.27 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) savings plan, and employee stock purchase plan. You will also have access to paid time off, holidays, and education reimbursement programs.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of customer service or healthcare-related experience. You should also have intermediate-level computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
