Job Overview

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a dedicated Senior Systems Engineer to provide essential support in the transition, modernization, and enhancement of laboratory capabilities. This role involves the critical task of identifying and documenting existing lab workflows, data needs, key applications, and architecture in accordance with T&D processes. The engineer will develop requirements for modernized solutions that align with ongoing initiatives and represent mission requirements across various T7D and development activities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing and documenting all lab workflows across TechSIGINT, which includes data ingress and egress, storage requirements (volume, retention, sharing), processing needs, tools and software applications, ad hoc scripting necessities, collaboration requirements, and analytic outputs (both intermediate and final). Furthermore, the role requires the development of capability requirements to apply to functions and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze user requirements, operational concept documents, and high-level system architectures to formulate system requirements specifications.
  • Lead design and development activities while guiding users in articulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, working collaboratively with project managers and clients to fulfill requirements.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations and develop comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Develop system architecture and design documentation, guiding system development and implementation planning through the preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated challenges.
  • Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering domain.
Capabilities
  • Contribute to the creation of systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that align with defined system architectures.
  • Assist in developing system and functional requirements, allocating them to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities based on comprehensive evaluations of development and operational considerations.
Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph.
  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government.
  • Proven experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
