Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Akina, Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases, from concept to retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with government agencies regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives to ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement systems engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 15288 standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate complex systems.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, and test plans.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 19 years of general system engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 15 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 13 years of systems engineering experience.
  • PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 13 years of systems engineering experience.
