Job Summary:

The Assistant Residential Manager will assist with the daily operation of a residential home, providing direct care support and coordinating program duties as needed. This role requires a strong ability to lead staff, develop positive relationships, and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead staff to ensure performance standards are upheld and individuals are supported in accordance with agency requirements, mission, and principles.
  2. Provide leadership and create a positive work climate, fostering a cohesive team environment.
  3. Ensure services and documentation meet regulatory standards and agency policies.
  4. Create opportunities for individuals to develop skills and foster independence.
  5. Oversee medical, clinical, and financial needs of individuals, identifying needs and securing services as required.
  6. Transport individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with funding sources, community groups, families, and service providers.
  8. Monitor petty cash and maintain spending within budgetary limits.
  9. Provide interim coverage during PD absence, with support from the Residential Supervisor or other program management.
  10. Maintain core training certifications, including CPR/FA, OSHA, CPI, MAP, PABC, and Driver Safety.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  2. Minimum one year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities, including those with behavioral or medical concerns.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead staff, coordinate documentation, and interface with management or nursing staff.
