Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our manufacturing processes and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze statistical studies, regulatory standards, and industry trends to identify best practices and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Attend meetings and report on assigned customer requirements and performance metrics.
  • Manage and maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and perform supplier performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean principles and methodologies to improve inspection processes.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on quality control and analytical procedures.
  • Manage customer scorecard adherence and ensure compliance with customer action requests and escape notices.
  • Perform internal audits and issue internal Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) reports.
  • Compile and publish monthly customer quality and delivery ratings.
  • Review and update process specification checklists and collaborate in the training of incoming quality engineering representatives.
Requirements:
  • Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with inspection methods and tools used in the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Substantial experience handling Department of Defense and Aerospace programs.
  • 3+ years of experience working with ISO 9000, AS9100, commercial and military aerospace quality and engineering specifications.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), 8D.
  • Ability to read technical blueprints, technical manuals, and component maintenance manuals.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards and understand and live by ethics and business conduct policies.
  • Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. Person status.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing) and/or
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role in the aerospace industry.
