Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our manufacturing processes and products.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze statistical studies, regulatory standards, and industry trends to identify best practices and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Manage and report on customer quality and delivery ratings.
- Perform supplier performance evaluations and collaborate in the new supplier selection process.
- Apply advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of assigned product or program.
- Instruct others in quality control and analytical procedures.
- Manage allocated customer scorecard adherence.
- Ensure compliance to customer action requests and escape notices.
- Adjust and improve inspection processes using lean principles and methodologies.
- Provide interim dispositions and address internal nonconformance corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation and NPI preparation efforts.
- Support off-site supplier investigations.
- Perform internal AS9100 audits.
- Issue internal RCCAs for findings, returns, scrap, and submitted parts.
- Audit and monitor shipping records.
- Generate shipping documents.
- Manage assigned primary customer tool management.
- Compile and publish monthly customer quality and delivery ratings.
- Compile and submit monthly/quarterly and annual customer deliverables.
- Review, update, and maintain process specification checklists.
- Collaborate in the training of incoming quality engineering representatives.
- Report and state the status as required to the quality management and compliance director.
- Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP quality standards.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with inspection methods and tools used in the aerospace industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Substantial experience handling Department of Defense and aerospace programs.
- 3+ years of experience working with ISO 9000, AS9100, commercial and military aerospace quality and engineering specifications.
- Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), 8D.
- Ability to read technical blueprints, technical manuals, and component maintenance manuals.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards.
- Understand and live by ethics and business conduct policies.
- Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. Person status.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing) and/or
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role in the aerospace industry.
