About the Role:
We are in search of a committed and knowledgeable Environmental Attorney to enhance our proficient legal team. The successful applicant will possess extensive expertise in environmental law, particularly concerning contaminated properties.
This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a stimulating work atmosphere, competitive remuneration, and the chance to make a substantial difference in the realm of environmental law.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Environmental Attorney, your primary duties will encompass:
- Delivering expert legal guidance on a diverse array of environmental issues, with a concentration on contaminated properties.
- Representing the organization in both administrative and judicial forums regarding environmental concerns.
- Conducting thorough legal research and drafting essential legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements.
- Providing counsel on adherence to federal, state, and local environmental statutes and regulations.
- Negotiating and formulating settlements and agreements pertaining to environmental matters.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Environmental Attorney role will meet the following criteria:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an environmental attorney, particularly in contaminated property.
- Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
- Demonstrated understanding of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
- Proven track record in administrative and judicial proceedings related to environmental issues.
