Environmental Manager Role

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Level Environmental Manager with 10+ years' experience to join our Charlotte, NC office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and perform standard environmental services, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, remedial design, remedial implementation, regulatory closure, State Voluntary Cleanup Project management, and other environmental services.
  • Supervise Field- and Staff-level personnel on all aspects of projects.
  • Manage and write reports and other deliverables, including figures, analysis summary tables, exploration logs, and project documentation.
  • Perform quality review of project deliverables and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Train, manage, and mentor lower-level staff in project execution.
  • Responsible for scheduling and completing projects, monitoring the budget, and updating supervisors and clients.
  • Prepare competent and complete proposals and budgets.
  • Handle administrative office tasks and demonstrate efficient project management skills.
  • Review financials and accurately bill assigned projects.
  • Assist in developing in-house practices and professional development presentations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other GTA disciplines.
  • Support established clients and projects to generate repeat and new business.
  • Initiate new client outreach and be alert to new marketing and business opportunities.

Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering.
  • 10+ years' experience in Phase I and Phase II ESAs.
  • Significant experience with Brownfields and related work.
  • Professional registration is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to market and build client list.
