We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Operations Manager to join our team at Wintrust Financial. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the loan processing, underwriting, and closing functions to ensure efficient and high-quality loan fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of loan operations professionals to achieve pipeline conversion and loan service time objectives.
- Monitor and analyze department metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase staff productivity and quality.
- Oversee the coordination and implementation of third-party services, including appraisal, insurance, title, and closing, to ensure error-free and high-quality processes.
- Develop and maintain department financial management, planning, systems, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Meet established productivity levels and turnaround times as set by management.
- Review weekly pipeline reports and reallocate resources as needed to optimize loan fulfillment.
- Ensure the accuracy of all necessary criteria for specific loan types, products, rates, and fee structures.
- Stay up-to-date on investor, agency, FHA, VA, and loan guideline changes, as well as any overlays.
- Contribute to short- and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
- Bachelor's degree in a finance-related major or related work experience.
- 7-10 years of experience in mortgage operations fulfillment with a proven track record in leadership, mentoring, and management.
- Strong underwriting background.
- Knowledge of fulfillment operations on a national scale with experience supporting multiple customers.
- Knowledge of all legal and regulatory aspects for mortgage operations.
