The Human Systems Integration Engineer III plays a crucial role in incorporating human factors into the engineering and development processes of NAVWAR systems. This position involves conducting thorough evaluations of requirements, concepts, and resources across various domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Offers strategic recommendations to policies and products aimed at addressing enterprise-wide procedural challenges and conflicts.

Evaluates and advises on the creation, review, and dissemination of Naval Operational Architectures (NOA), standards, competency development models, and processes to ensure coherence among interconnected work products throughout the RDT&E life cycle.

May engage in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of network/web-based collaboration tools and platforms to support NAVWAR engineering and business operations in RDT&E.

Provides expertise and technical assistance in developing enterprise architectures that bolster Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of the requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A BS degree in an engineering discipline or in physical science, engineering, or mathematics from an ABET accredited institution is required, along with 6 years of experience in Government-related Research and Development (R&D), Test and Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs.

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering is required, which should encompass at least 3 of the following:

  • HSI design, installation, integration, and testing support.
  • Multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, and tradeoff studies of complex systems.
  • Creation of design documentation and specifications.
  • HSI-related engineering requirements, performance, and risk analysis.
  • HSI test planning, development of test procedures, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Understanding of Naval operations from unit through operational staff and HQ levels.
  • Conducting mission task analysis, top-down functional analysis, and critical task analysis.

Familiarity with systems of systems (SoS) interface management controls, processes, and products used to document interface standards, controlling parameters, and interface agreements is essential.

Comprehension of risks associated with the development and implementation of the NOA Architecture is necessary.

Experience in evaluating cybersecurity technical approaches to support system design and development efforts is required.

Knowledge of certification-related functions involved in the NAVWAR Information Assurance Technical Authority mission and processes, such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), cyber risk to mission, and cybersecurity readiness, is important.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey information clearly and succinctly in both written and oral presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) system documentation is advantageous.
