The Human Systems Integration Engineer II plays a crucial role in embedding human considerations into the engineering and development processes of NAVWAR systems. This position involves thorough evaluations of requirements, concepts, and resources across various domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and updating documentation in alignment with architectural frameworks, specifications, and standards.
Assist in all facets of systems engineering tasks, including the formulation and assessment of acquisition engineering documentation.
Evaluate acquisition engineering documentation for programs within Research, Technology, and Engineering (RT&E).
Contribute to the development of Systems Integration requirements and strategic plans.
Essential Qualifications:
Due to the sensitive nature of client-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
A BS degree in an engineering discipline or a BS in physical science, engineering, or mathematics from an ABET accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of pertinent Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering experience.
An active Secret clearance is a prerequisite.
Experience in at least two of the following areas is necessary:
- HSI design, installation, integration, and testing support.
- Multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, and tradeoff studies of intricate systems.
- Creation of design documentation and specifications.
- HSI-related engineering requirements, performance, and risk assessment.
- HSI test planning, procedure development, execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Understanding of Naval operations from unit through operational staff and HQ levels.
- Conducting mission task analysis, top-down functional analysis, and critical task analysis.
Familiarity with the research and analysis of missions, tactics, equipment, interfaces, and resource allocation in emerging systems is essential.
Knowledge of certification-related functions associated with the NAVWAR Information Assurance Technical Authority mission, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), cyber risk to mission, and cybersecurity readiness is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely in both written and oral formats.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) system documentation is advantageous.
A top-secret clearance with SCI eligibility is preferred.
