Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Procurement
    • Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services for the organization.
    • Track all purchases made and maintain accurate records.
    • Monitor vendor quality and performance.

  • Order Management
    • Process purchase requisitions or orders within purchasing authority.
    • Arrange transportation of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with vendors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
    • Work collaboratively with department managers, engineers, and operations staff to procure products.

    • Monitor shipments to ensure products arrive on time and in good condition.
    • Identify and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate of Art's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or similar degree from a technical school.
    • 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent experience with purchasing components for heavy equipment production.
  • Experience
    • Minimum two years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Skills
    • Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly advanced Excel.
    • Oracle or other modern ERP experience preferred.
    • Basic understanding of supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and bills of material (BOM's).
