Supply Chain Operations Specialist

As a Part-time Supply Chain Associate at Fastenal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting business-to-business operations by administering procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions that meet the needs of our customers and drive the success of their business. This position is for our branch located at a specific location. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in computer skills, and a strong math aptitude.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage branch inventory levels and administer procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
* Estimate and quote prices, and source products to meet customer needs
* Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs and support accounts receivable activities
* Make deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary and perform other duties to ensure branch success
Requirements
* 18 years of age or older, with a valid driver's license and a strong driving record
* Possess a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or have customer service or industry-related work experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in computer skills
* Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented, with strong math aptitude and attention to detail
* Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities, and exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
* Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25-50 pounds and may weigh up to 75 pounds
