Position Overview:
As a key player in our traffic management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing roadway operations with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate advanced traffic management systems to monitor and improve traffic flow and incident response.
• Utilize surveillance technology, including CCTV and detection systems, to ensure optimal roadway conditions.
• Maintain and operate all traffic devices and associated computer systems effectively.
• Stay informed about the functionality and location of traffic management equipment, including detector stations and communication systems.
• Ensure the accuracy of displayed messages on Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and 511 systems.
• Input incident data into traffic management software accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to coordinate responses to roadway incidents.
• Dispatch service patrols and assist with various operational tasks as needed.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on traffic management technologies and practices.
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience in dispatch or call center operations is advantageous.
