Job Summary

The Business Services Specialist will be responsible for growing the Credit Union's business membership and services, as well as maintaining active relationships with existing business members. This role will involve acquiring and growing business member relationships through proactive calling efforts, networking, and partnering with Credit Union staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire and grow business relationships through consultative approaches
  • Represent the Credit Union to members in a courteous and professional manner
  • Process transactions and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service
  • Cross-sell deposit and automated services to members
  • Set up members for automated services such as Mobile Banking and Bill Pay
  • Post and process cash and coin services and fees for business members
  • Assist members with various services such as wire requests and check or plastic card disputes
  • Provide in-person and telephone/web conference service-related information
  • Respond to member requests, problems, and complaints
  • Service existing business accounts and collect applicable documentation
  • Research accounts for deposits, withdrawals, and discrepancies
  • Generate loan leads for business members
  • Process new business account transactions
  • Perform loan interviews and gather background information on loan applicants
  • Ensure the Credit Union's business deposit structure and pricing are competitive
  • Participate in community events to increase the Credit Union's visibility
  • Follow government guidelines and compliance procedures
Requirements
  • Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or three years financial institution experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite
  • Patient, tactful, enthusiastic, and positive attitude toward members and the general public
