Job Overview

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Process Improvement Coordinator to join our Business Management division. This role involves working on a 9x80 schedule with alternating Fridays off. The successful candidate will conduct program evaluations and post-event analyses while assisting management in formulating effective and sustainable corrective measures. You will report directly to the Manager of Process Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with management to evaluate program effectiveness and identify risk mitigations and corrective actions for both recognized and self-disclosed issues.
  • Oversee all facets of Performance Monitoring and Analysis, including Issues Management, Self-Assessment, Lessons Learned, Management Observations, and event evaluations.
  • Accountable for the development and oversight of existing Performance Assurance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), enhancing these metrics, and analyzing various operational data sources to proactively identify trends that may hinder mission success.
  • Create dynamic dashboards that illustrate operational and financial performance for senior leadership, pinpointing process enhancements in operations and workflows.
  • Establish schedules to monitor progress towards annual program objectives, supporting the overarching Enterprise Risk Management and Management Review Meeting strategies.
  • Implement programs within the designated directorate using established protocols.
  • Assist with data entry, report creation, tracking dates, sending reminders, document management, assessment generation, information collection, minute-taking, and other coordination tasks as required.
  • Facilitate condition assessments for compliance issues, assign trend codes, and manage mission centers.
  • Encourage communication among individual contributors, directorate leadership, and the Performance Management organization, as well as external stakeholders and working groups.
  • Analyze performance and operational data to detect adverse trends and risks that could affect mission success.
  • Define Performance Assurance expectations for programs and provide the necessary processes, tools, training, and support to implement effective programs across all INL mission centers to ensure compliance with relevant DOE orders.
  • May adopt a risk-based strategy to safeguard INL security assets against potential threats.
  • Participate in inspections and evaluations of equipment and processes to identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with line management to ensure effective resolution of issues while maximizing program budgets.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: Level 2: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree. Level 3: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 2 years of experience.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is: Level 430 ($63,528- $130,284) / Level 440 ($75,804- $155,496). Compensation decisions are based on factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
