Job Description

Overview

Georgia System Operations Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op Student to join our Telecom & Technical Services department. As a Co-Op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the utility industry while working on innovative telecommunications projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and learn from experienced professionals in the Telecom & Technical Services department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and refine technical skills in telecommunications and technology.
  • Participate in up to 3 rotations, each lasting a full semester, with the opportunity to work on various projects and tasks.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college/university with a minimum 2.8 GPA in a related field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or Engineering.
  • Accepted in the college or university's formal Co-op program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and hands-on experience with technology.
  • Ability to work in a professional environment and commit to 3 full-time semester rotations, up to 40 hours per week.
