About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Flowers Baking Co. of Tucker, LLC. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, perform evaluations of ingredients and products in various stages of production.
- Obtain samples of ingredients/product at regular intervals.
- Evaluate the samples: weight, color, bake, etc.
- Perform microbiological tests.
- Routinely make recommendations for processing.
- Originate and maintain accurate records.
- Check Metal Detectors.
- Perform mathematical calculations on weight and logs information of proper paperwork.
- Maintain flour-tailing reports.
- Train new Lab Technicians II as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area(s).
- Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
- Ensure that all internal and external food safety and quality policies and procedures are followed.
- Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
Requirements
- One (1) year previous experience in similar Quality Assurance lab.
- High school Diploma equivalency.
