Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Michigan City, Indiana. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert maintenance and repair services for industrial vacuum pumps and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs in strict adherence to manufacturer recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using the latest tools and techniques.
- Maintain records of all work performed using advanced hardware and software tools.
- Equip yourself with the necessary tools and ensure their ongoing maintenance to support high-quality service.
- Acquire advanced skills in VSD's, PLC, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and leak audits to provide the best possible solutions.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be prepared for overtime when needed.
- Promote knowledge-sharing and on-the-job training among colleagues to enhance collective expertise and provide outstanding service.
- Represent the company with pride, projecting a knowledgeable and customer-centric image to customers.
- Perform all responsibilities observing Atlas Copco standards, aiming to understand and meet the needs and expectations of customers.
- Communicate with all team members to ensure the job is completed.
- Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities, demonstrating commitment to the success of the team and customers.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent with technical training in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or HVAC.
- 1+ years of technical experience with troubleshooting and resolving field equipment issues.
- Knowledgeable in technical expertise, combining mechanical and electrical components.
- Blueprint and technical reading skills.
- Familiar with manufacturing/production or assembly-plant working conditions.
- Customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
- Motivated to achieve targets.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
- Fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
