Join Boston University's Technology Experience and Community Team

We are seeking a highly skilled AV/IT Field Engineer to join our team at Boston University's Information Services and Technology department. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining AV/IT systems across our campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair AV/IT systems, including Crestron and Q-SYS equipment
  • Provide technical support to faculty and staff on AV/IT-related issues
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement new AV/IT systems

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience working with AV/IT technology in a field engineering or installation and repair role
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift moderately heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced installation, system commissioning, AV networking, and repair responsibilities
  • Expertise with Crestron (programming, VC4), Q-SYS, Shure, BiAmp, Logitech, Poly/HP technology
  • PC and Mac hardware and software, AV/IT control and switching equipment, web conferencing, digital signage, Zoom Rooms, projection equipment, lecture capture, and video recording and production equipment
